How to Get Your Academic Gown

You cannot walk across that stage without your official academic regalia. The university has simplified the process through an online payment system.

  1. Payment: Log into the TASUED portal and pay the sum of ₦10,000.00 using your debit card.
  2. Validation: Print your receipt and take it to the University Bursary for official endorsement.
  3. Collection: Gowns and invitation cards will be available between January 20 and January 27, 2026.
  4. The “No Proxy” Rule: You must show up in person at your respective College or the Postgraduate College to collect your items. No one can collect them on your behalf.

Avoid the Late Fees: Returning Your Regalia

The celebration doesn’t end when you take your photos. All academic gowns must be returned to your College Officers (or the Postgraduate College Secretary) by Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

Be warned: If you miss this deadline, TASUED will charge a penalty of ₦1,000.00 for every single day the gown remains in your possession. It is a strictly enforced policy, so make sure you return yours early to avoid unnecessary costs.
